I came across this one while passing through Hamilton, Ontario and was not familiar with this whisky which is a annual limited edition and this is the first. Anyone familiar with this single malt and what it's like? I will not open mine for a while. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| I have seen that on sale here but haven't heard anything about it, I think it is a mix of young and old whiskies from a various types of casks |

Just had a look at this on MoM, they have it on offer for £39.95 and free delivery if anyone is interested https://www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/auchentoshan/auchentoshan-the-bartenders-edition-whisky/
According to the Auchentoshan website the malt whisky in the Bartenders edition ranges from 5 different decades so I would guess there is some whisky in their from the 1970s, 80's, 90's, 00's and 10's although I would doubt there will be a big portion in it from the earlier decades. Also an interesting mix of casks. I am not sure when they sneaked this one out onto the market. |

| This has been out for a while and was the result of a selection of bartenders and such choosing casks to develop a whisky for the bar / cocktail trade.. it’s ok but I didn’t think it was over impressive.. Just hope this is not a sign of things to come. |

| They launched this last summer I believe, I think it was created for bartenders to use in cocktails and never really got promoted to whisky drinkers so perhaps passed under whisky drinkers radar. I have tasted it and it isn't much to shout about but then not much is at this end of the Auchentoshan whisky range other than the 12 year old IMO. |
