Hi all
I came across a bottle of Whyte & Mackay Prize which is a vatted malt whisky yesterday in Somerfield, it is priced at just over £15. I dont recognise it is this new and has anyone had it? is it any good? I done a quick search on google but it is like it doesnt exist.

I havent heard of this one either. I just had a look on the W & M website and it does mention it but doesnt give much info on it.. This is what the site says:
| Quote: | | A further addition to the range will be an entirely new blended malt, which will be introduced into the family later this year. This new addition will be named "Prize' after Master Blender Richard Paterson's Gold Medal success. |
It doesnt yet list it as part of the W & M whisky range or give any tasting notes or idea of which malts are in the blend. I would assume it will contain a blend of the malts from the W & M stable such as Dalmore, Isle of Jura and Tamnavulin. It will be interesting to try especially at this price.

I am not 100% but the Whyte & Mackay Prize kind of rings a bell, wasnt it a limited release a couple of years ago, i may be wrong.

Alastair | I think you are correct Alastair, strange how there website says that it is a new addition, some companies are so poor at updating their info online.
