Which one of these two, the Glengoyne 21 or the Glenfarclas 25 would you prefer if you like Glenlivet 18, Glen Moray 16 and Auschentosen 12?
It's supposed to be a 60 year birthday present for my father-in-law and he really likes whisky, but has never been able to get himself any finer ones but those in the £40 range.
Any other suggestions are welcome aswell, but he does not like the smokey ones and within the range around £100 |

Both are different to the malts you mention. If given the choice between the Glengoyne 21 and Glenfarclas 25 it would be the Glengoyne, a superb whisky and far superior than the Glenfarclas 25 IMO.
The Auchentoshan 21 is also a superb whisky, priced just under £120 at Master of Malt

I agree, the Glengoyne would be my choice. Hope he enjoys whatever you get. |
