| Also interesting that the travel retail Bowmore 18 is different from the standard 18, hopefully they have used good sherry casks to create it. |

| I'm currently really enjoying a bottle of Gold Reef (much nicer than Black Rock) so this is good news - I'm flying a few times in the coming months so I'll have a looksie and see if I can get a taste. |

It's great to hear that they are returning to age statements. Indeed - Black Rock is not nice! It was the last bottle of Bowmore I bought and I have not gone back since.. |

I agree, it was the first whisky I tried that I thought actually tasted.... strange? The reason I bought the Gold Reef was because it has had much better reviews online and I had the chance to get for £30 for a litre bottle so I thought it was worth a punt. Turned out that it's a totally different animal to Blackrock - there's a sherry finish to it I think and whith just hints of peat smoke it's very enjoyable. |

Interesting, I shall have to try it sometime. Normally I don't get on too well with Bowmore. Although the two I have tried were NAS. Had the 18 yr at a Weatherspoon's (for a surprisingly good price) a long time ago but can't recall if I liked it or not. |
