Laphroaig 18 replacement

I need an experienced Laphroaig 18 drinker to recommend a whisky that is as similar as possible in taste and cost to this vanished product. All suggestions gratefully received. We bought up all we could find, but no good thing lasts forever.

Amazon recently had some stock of Laphroaig 18 year old

It is out of stock now but they are still taking orders and they say "Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months" You never know they may acquire some more stock, I may be worth placing an order which costs nothing until they get stock.

It is a shame that the Laphroaig 18 has been discontinued, a favourite of mine also but sadly I haven't found a similar replacement. I only hope we will see the 18 return in years to come when they have perhaps built up some more mature stock. Meanwhile I still have 6 bottles in the cupboard.

Have you tried the 15yro? Still some of that kicking about.
