Email today:
"On 16th March 2017, another elusive bottling will surface: Ardbeg Kelpie Committee Exclusive.... "
Anyone like to guess what it will be and how much? |

This has been on the TTB site in the states since the end if last year; all forthcoming bottlings must have their labels approved prior to release and the site is publicly searchable so you can see what distilleries have planned......if you've got time and you're a geek
It uses virgin casks of new oak that hail from the Republic of Adygea. So I imagine intense and sea tasting Ardbeg. Probably quite Corryvrecken like.
51.7% ans I think it's $130 over there so it'll be about the same over here...£130ish. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

That'll be the one.
Of course, not all labels go to make a bottling. Due to the regulations in America distilleries often put several names or label designs in and they don't always release a bottling. They have to get them in just in case. Still......geekworthy stuff so I love it. What else am i going to do? Facetweet or whatever it's called, got better things to do like searching for labels!! _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

That's s actually fairly reasonable for a committee release these days. I think the standard bottling (46%) is going to be on for around the £100 mark. Kinda wishing I'd bothered to get one not. Ah well not the end of the world, leaves me £90 to get a very good bottle of rum. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |
