Hi, my name is Federico, and I'm from Italy.
I've just "inherited" (I've been given by my Grandma) a bottle of Chivas Royal Salute 21 y.o. which had been sold to my Grandfather between the 60s and the 70s.
Unfortunetly I have no idea about the year of bottling.
By now, it is supposed to be something like 50 y.o....
I would like you to help me with a possible valuation of this bottle.
Thank you.
Hi i would say that this is worth around £150 (shop price) maybe around £70 - £100 in a private sale, this is just my estimate given the information you supplied. I suggest looking in The Whisky Exchange shop and doing a search for Royal Salute, they may have one similar to yours. Whisky stops aging when taken out the barrel, so the bottle you have will always be 21 years old.
