My spouse surprised me with a few gifts today that most impressed me. 4 of 5 I haven't tried before. Lineup included:

Glen Breton 10
Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
Tomatin 15
Aberfeldy 21
Bowmore Vault Edition First Release

I've had the Woodford before and it's a gem. The Aberfeldy and Bowmore most impressed me. The Glen Breton and Tomatin were also good but both showed some younger notes for their age. In all I was very happy with this lineup!

Excellent! I like the Tomatin. I would love to try the Bowmore.

Its quite nice. Almost mistook it for a Talisker with the maritime like character.

Wish I had got to try Bowmore Tempest. Wondering if this similar but a lot more expensive....

Tomatin has grown on me after a few pours. Reminds me of a Craigellachie - nice and malty with some oils to it.

I enjoyed the Aberfeldy 21 although I felt for the price they could have bottled it at a higher strength. As I said I enjoyed it.

The Aberfeldy 21 is a lovely dram, full of flavour, and carries a great nose.. Has a good complexity to it ... reminds me I need to buy another..

I agree though at 40% was amazed at how bold it was. Very impressive.
