Bowmore has released the last 50 bottles of its rare Bowmore 50 Year Old !961. Released in batches of 50 bottles over the past 4 years and even with an RRP of £16,000/ US £23,000 it has sold out quickly.

The final bottles of Bowmore 1961 50 Year Old will forever be known as the last of their batch, but will also be the first of a six-part Bowmore 50 Year Old Collection Series which was distilled in the 1960's. Released annually beginning this year, the Bowmore Distillery will issue a 50 year old Bowmore single malt Scotch, both in the U.S. and in Europe.
