"Lagavulin is launching a single cask edition of 522 bottles of its single malt to raise funds for local projects.

I'm torn. I like the idea behind it but to charge an outrageous amount of money with some brilliant marketing the like of I've not seen before 'money will go back to the local community' which I'm sorry, should happen, all the time. Let us not forget that these distilleries used to provide work for lots of the community which was taken away when the big players closed and automated their processes/no longer buying local ingredients etc...
Actually whilst typing this I've made my mind up - good luck to those that fall for this nonsense. And you thought Ardbeg 21 was expensive.
