Here are my retaste notes from today for this one. Please note it is the North American offering at 40% ABV. (not the Ambassador's Choice).
Color: Amber jello
Nose: Exuberant orange rind awakens with a coming-out party for tangerines. Rice pudding surfaces with flecks of nutmeg. Thin slices of papaya come to mind.
Taste: Medium to full-bodied. Fruity sweet, drying, smoky oak protuberances delight along with a sip of chocolate malted milk like the "soda jerks" of old used to serve when pharmacies offered food.
Finish: Long, orange citrus with a halo of light cocoa. The subdued sweetness last and lasts.
Comments: A younger Highland Park, full of personality and strutting its stuff, wanting to be seen.
Score: 85 _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
