|
|
I had occasion to visit Kingston, Ontario on the weekend and during dinner Saturday night at an elegant restaurant I tasted Longmorn 16 year, 48% abv.
Color-Gold
Nose: Fruity with a summer's flare, assorted soft berry chews. A slice of peach awakens with hint of marshmallow and late delectable butterscotch.
Taste: Medium to full bodied. Orange zest with a fruity-spicy melange harboring a fine sweetness. The citrus motif is recognizable and enduring.
Finish: Long, sweet citrus with a subtle oakiness.
Comments: Quite a pleasant Speyside dram, well-balanced and satisfying from start to finish.
My Rating: 88 _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| I have a bottle of this in the cupboard which I am slowly getting through when the mood takes me, very much agree with your description of it. |
