Anybody have any thoughts on the latest release from Glenfarclas. The 4th bottling in the Family Collector series, 35 yo In Port Casks with 521 bottles released at 47.9%...
Priced at £595... |

| Is it actually a port finish or fully matured in port casks? The former would be quite a departure for Glenfarclas, the latter surely a first for any distillery. |

| It is fully matured in Port casks, they did release a 31yo a few years ago but rrp was around the £300 mark... |

| It's beyond what I'd pay for whisky, and anyway I wouldn't be that enthused about it if it's spent that long in port casks. However, I'm sure Glenfarclas know what they're doing! |
