| Was talking to a friend earlier who wanted some help with her dog but while chatting indoors she showed me a bottle of old dimple, I'm sure it read 70proof and 75.7cl, bottom of bottle had haig 12 on it, so my question is how old how is it worth? Oh it also had markinch on it but can't remember it saying Edinburgh . Any help would be appreciated. Oh it looked a cork top I think but not sure. |

Most of the dimple bottlings (12yro usually has gold cap) is worth about £20 unless very old. Unlikely it said 75.7 cl? 75cl is normal.
Older bottles are 25 2/3 Fl and are about £30. If it's got a spring cap it's probably £40.
Drink! Enjoy! |

| Some bottles did say 75.7cl when they first changed from flozs to cl back in 1980. the standard bottle size was 26 2/3 flozs which is 75.7.cl which was rounded off to 75cl soon after the change. The proof system of measuring alcohol was changed to Percentage of Alcohol by Volume %ABV in 1980. So I would guess it was bottled in 1980. As said above these bottles don't fetch a great deal and once you consider the costs such as postage and commission when selling you wont get a great deal for it, I say open it and enjoy a taste of Scotch whisky history. |

| Right I had another look on front of bottle and it's got 26 2/3 fluid oz if that makes a difference? |
