You can put it in the freezer as long as you like, it wont freeze but it will be ice cold William reviewed it here http://www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/dalwhinniewintersgold.htm He said this about the suggestion to freeze it:
| Quote: | Paying homage to the environment in which it has been made, the distillery is suggesting you should serve the Dalwhinnie Winter’s Gold "frozen". I just couldn't bring myself to freeze the sample from Diageo and to be honest in my experience this only ever dulls the nose and flavour, it can be refreshing but personally I want the full unchilled flavour experience.

| If your friend wants to try it from the freezer, stick it in over night. I would agree with Williams comments though but everyone is different and your friend may like it. It is a nice enough whisky but falls short of the quality of the Dalwhinnie 15 as you would expect from a NAS. |

Before you have this dram is recommended that you put your tongue on the metallic part in the freezer. |

| I don't think it should be put in the freezer... It's a single malt.. |

| Ah I see - if just seems strange to put it in the freezer.. As surely this well detract from the taste because it will be cold.. |

| 'Scotch' is traditionally frozen on a stick and eaten in the form of an ice cream |
