How I'm defining a high value Scotch:
- very good whisky in reference to it's price point
What do you got? |

| Perhaps I am missing something here but can you rephrase your question? |

....and I assume a high price?
I tend to find the best quality/price ratio tends to be lower priced whisky anyway, rather than the stuff that's expensive because it's rare.....but in terms of a couple of 30yo's for a starter;
Balblair 1983
Benromach 30yo
both £200 and without a shadow of a doubt worth every penny. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| Best bang for the buck? I nominate Lagavulin 16. I tried it for the first time tonight. I don't normally shop for scotch in such a low price range, and I wasn't expecting much, but this dram is possibly the most pleasant surprise I've had in a long time. |

Lagavulin 16 is currently $122. Canadian dollars here, almost 67 pounds equivalent, hardly what I would call "such a low price range". How much did you pay? I do agree however it is a stellar dram and so is the Lagavulin 12, Lagavulin Distiller's Edition and the Lg 1 and Lg2, Elements of Islay series if you are able to secure them with varying price points more than the L16..

| I would say Glendronach is a superb whisky for its price, but that may be about to change so I would suggest you stock up now |

| Lagavulin 16 usually £45-50 in uk.. I'll pop round to your house for a dram or two if you class this as low end whisky ðŸ˜"?ðŸ˜"? |

| Best bang for the buck here......my vote goes to Glenfiddich 15 solera. It's about 38 pounds here. Great flavour at a reasonable price. |

In terms of value for price, it's hard to beat Glencadam 10yo. It retails at £30, it's got an age statement, its not filtered or coloured, it's bottled at 46% abv and it's bloody tasty.
The Glenfiddich 15yo Distillery Edition is also another, as is Aberlour A'Bunadh. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

Jay, you're right! It's an excellent dram and reasonably priced. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

I have to say bang for its buck is the glenfiddich 15 for me.
Talisker always seems good value for such a nice dram too.
Best value price wise is my glenfiddich foundation reserve...cheers william for letting us know.
And i got 4 snow pheonix for 45 quidish each.....seems a good buy now.
Also a gpenfiddich 1991....the year of my sons birth was only about 20 quid but probs o nly sèntinental value |

| I double checked the price on Lagavulin 16 here and it is $90 USD, so I think that is in line with what others are reporting. My nonsense rule of thumb has been to spend a bit more than that. $90 USD seems like a bargain to me for this level of quality. |

Right now the best bang for the buck scotch for me is the Glenlivet Nadurra 16YO. $74CAD. So good.
After that is the Glendronach 12 for $50CAD, and Oban 14 for $82CAD |
