I thought you might get a kick out of looking at some single malt scotch list dram prices offered at Keen's Steakhouse in New York City in 1979:
Mcallan 25 Year........$25. US
Glenfarclas 25 year......$15.50 US
Bowmore Black 1964..........$56. US ( I'd have a double).
Oh, the days.......

Crazy that they were priced at 100 GBP a bottle when 1st released in the mid 90's |

I was lucky enought to get four bottles of 25 year old macallan in the boxes I drunk one and sold the other three I trebled my money so was very happy but looking at the prices now I wish I had kept them
some you win some you lose oh for foresight |
