I was invited to attend the Scottish Craftsmen's Association 19th Ann. Whisky Experience last night in Niagara, Ontario with 5 lovely single malts, roast beef dinner, Police Pipe Band, Highland dancers and more. I really enjoyed myself.
The 5 scotches in order of presentation were:
Mortlach Rare Old, 43.4% abv.
Lismore 21 Year 43% abv (Mystery Malt)
Ardbeg Corryvreckan , 57.1% abv.
Cragganmore 25 Year Old 1988 ( Diageo 2014 Special Release) (70cl, 51.4%)
Dalmore King Alexander III, 40% abv.
*****My own taste notes for 4 of these now appear in the Taste Notes section of the Forum. Since I've presented my taste notes for the Mortlach Rare Old in the past when I reviewed their range including Mortlach 18 and 25 year, I will not do the rare Old again. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
