|
|
I would be interested in buying a cask of Whisky for a private bottling for family, not for profit.
I see many barrels are bought for people as gifts or children who then sell them, is there a site I can buy casks for sale (re-sale), I have seen whiskybroker, thats about it??
Ideally I'd be after one of the 1995-6's casks of Tobermory (family connection to island).
I've heard these go for pretty reasonable, due to large amounts being made at this period?
I'm sure there is a simple answer that I am just not seeing. |

There are many options but prices are than more doubled in the last few years.
You can check with Whisky Broker (for fair price and reasonable quality); occasional you can still get casks at Glengoyne distillery but their program is on hold at the moment (though still possible).
Many will suggest you some new build distilleries - they need money for keeping up the initial production. |

Whisky Broker is a broker and well respected bottler.
As I said, there are many options… |
