Rice farmers in Japan switching to growing barley for whisky to increase their own profits and to take advantage of the whisky boom in that country.

Prices are increasing too much for japanese whisky Sad
I hope that this will contribute to make good whisky with a fair price Rolling Eyes

It may add a premium to the price as the whisky can be sold as 100% Japanese. As much as I like Japanese whisky I rarely buy it these days as there is as good and better Scotch whisky available for less.
