Got bottle of the Rare Cask Macallan. Very nice, not strong, I think very good choice for people that have been drinking whisky for not long time and don't like the strong peated flavours of other brand. I do think that that the Reserve is a better buy.

I found The Macallan Rare Cask to be an excellent whisky and I expect The Macallan Estate Reserve is as well. In my view, these are definitely not starter level whiskies and require an experienced palate to get the most out of them for nose and taste and frankly to justify the significant price for each.
