Well after hearing scary story's about this whisky and not wanting to try it I got half a bottle to see what was so wrong with it,, but to be honest I quite enjoyed it, spice and low entry peat made it a enjoyable Saturday and Sunday night.

I think many prefer the Jura Superstition over the 10 year old, I don't mind either but they would never be a regular of mine and I would only ever buy when on offer. I do like the Jura 16. The peaty Jura Prophecy is also pretty good, not a £50 whisky but ok when found on offer for £30ish

I got the Diuriach's Own on a cracking offer from the airport in Amsterdam about 4 years ago - 59EUR for 2 litres...still have over a litre left though!!

I did like the Superstition when I first started on single malts, but I'm not sure if something changed or I changed... Embarassed

I think the problem (if I can call it that), is that the Jura range is very accessible in the sense that it's in all the supermarkets. I used to have a dram of Jura now and again and quite enjoyed it. Although, when you then start trying different stuff that isn't available in the supermarkets, it doesn't stack up in terms of price and quality and when you then compare it, it starts falling down against others.
