Hello and season greetings to everyone.

This site was recommended to me by a friend who enjoys a good whisky!
I have a bottle of Loch Dhu whisky I would like to sell. The bottle was given to me a few years ago, but I am neither a collector nor a drinker.

Would it be possible to sell it here?

Thank you for your help,
Wendy.

Hello again,

After speaking to a charming member by the name of Gary, I am assuming £100 would be a reasonable price for a 700ml bottle.

The bottle has been stored in a cool place, and the label is in great condition. If you are interested, I will send the bottle packed as it should be and very promptly via a next day service. Or you could pick it up in person, if you are anywhere close to London.

I can send photographs, of course.

Thanks to you all and especially to Gary for a great welcome.

Regards,
Wendy.

Thank you Richard, hopefully it can go to someone who will appreciate it. I had no idea about what to ask for, £100 would give someone some elbow room should they decide to pass it on themselves.

Regards,
Wendy.

Hello Graham,

Another kind member here has expressed interest, so at the moment I am waiting to hear from him. But yes, I still do have the bottle.

I do have some photographs, but I can't see how to upload them here. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Wendy.[/list]

Hello,

Try as I might, the image uploading here just won't work. Very frustrating, can't find any instructions here and the Photobucket link is not appearing as it should.

Maybe I can send photographs to an email address.

Regards,
Wendy.

I'd be 'in' at about £70 (just for the fun of it).

Can easily collect in Central London

Hello,

Yes, that would be fine. Two members here expressed interest in purchasing it, took photographs, joined Photobucket, but neither is replying to messages! So, I shall PM you with my details and we could either meet or you could come and pick it up. I live in Highbury, North London.

Regards,
Wendy.

Hello once again, after three members now backing out the Loch Dhu is back for sale.

I would take £70+ any postage, seeing as I agreed to do so with a member who could no longer afford it, then will send it off to auction.

I should add that two members backed out without replying, and one had an unexpected expenditure. The bottle of Loch Dhu is in excellent order and can send photographs to an email address with pleasure.

Thank you all!

Bottle no longer for sale. After three timewasters it seems pointless to wait for a fourth, One wasn't even polite enough to reply after asking for photographs, one agreed to buy and never replied again. The third agreed then pulled out due to a freak accident.

Seems honour and good manners are no longer in fashion.

Wendy, I am just seeing this. I haven't received a response to the PM that I sent you at the end of 2016.

Thanks.

I somewhat resent being dubbed as a "timewaster".

I answered Wendy's advert in absolute good faith, fully intending to buy the bottle next time I was through London.

Sadly, very shortly after contacting Wendy, there was an accident here at home which had financial consequences. So, I had to back out.
