The three single malts to be tasted at my club's dinner and tasting next week are:
Glendronach 8 YO The Hielan
Glenturret 15 YO
Bowmore Devil's Casks 3
I have 3 bottles of Double the Devil so no surprises there. I have not had the other 2 malts
as far as I know (you do lose track after a while )
I take it that the Hielan is a little intense according to Jim Murray. I think the Glenturret 15 is discontinued. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

Ive had the 8 a few times now. I think it's a nice fiery number as a standalone dram. But when compared to the rest of the core range it doesn't stand up which is unfair I just use those as my benchmark.. Possibly due to the 8 years isn't enough to give it that Glendronach smooth sweetness? I'd be interested to hear what you think Murray.
