One of my favourite whiskies is the Glenmorangie Maderia wood, partly due to its sweetness.
I like Port finishes and my next purchase will be Glendronach Sauternes as I would imagine anything finished in that type of cask would satisfy a sweet tooth.
Does anyone have any other suggestions along this line?
Any glenfarclas I like the 15 year old but there all pretty good also Aberlour A'Bunadh Is a good sweet whisky that's not to dear I also like all the balvenie bottlings and find them quite sweet

Younger whisky is sweeter, as it ages it get more tannic. Something like Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is quite sweet.
Mid age Balblair (up to 15/16yo) can be sweeter than average and fruity.
As you say, you're really looking towards something that's finished in a sweet cask. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough."
