Thought you folk would get a kick out of this. I was at a New Year's day brunch today at the home of friends originally from Scotland with a group of mutual doctor friends. Knowing my experience with single malts they had come up with a plan to test my ability to identify what I was drinking. He brought out a small glass of single malt scotch from his collection and in front of this group wanted me to do a blind taste testing and identify it. It took about 60 seconds and I correctly identified it as Glenfiddich 15 Year Solera Vat. I was embarassed by the loud applause.
