| I tried the black bottle in the black bottle and wasn't impressed but people say it's changed a lot so in co op today I seen the same drink in the green bottle so is this the older and better???? |

Yes, the green bottle (with the curvy, Old Pulteney style neck) is the old one based more on the Islay malts. As for being better, that's a matter of opinion. When I tried the green version it reminded me rather too much of a gin martini, which isn't a bad thing but not what I was expecting (it was also rather harsh). Personally I prefer the new black bottle which is a throwback to the style and colour of bottle that gave the blend its name (as is the recipe of whiskies in the blend, apparently).
If you can get the old style it's well worth grabbing, especially if it's under £20. |
