Good price on the 18 year old. It's getting very hard to source. You may want to consider dropping the price of the 12 year old though. It's still fairly easy to find in the UK for much less than £110!

Hope that helps and good luck with the sale!

the price on the yamazaki 18 is much,, cheaper than what it is going for at auctions.

reduced price for both together = gbp 325 instead of gbp 340

paypal payment is fine.

It's not that difficult to source I picked a bottle of 18yr old for £170 two week ago and you can pick the 12yr old for £68. If you expect those prices I'd stick it in Auction and hope someone out in East Asia pays it.

Unfortunately, I've also seen the 18yo for £160 near me too. Your prices are way off.

Don't look at auction sites to get prices for private sales, you won't get the same value. Firstly auctions have people bidding against each other and secondly if you sell at auction you have fees to pay (usually around 20% of the sale price) plus your insurance and postage. So it it goes for £240 you can immediately knock that down to £190 and then you have to send and insure the bottle to the auction house, so your £240 has turned into £175/180 in your actual pocket.

You do have to remember though the buyer is thinking if I want to pay £260 -£280 I'll pay £240 knowing it will cost around £26-£280 for it.. So it is then worth £280 to someone ..the old saying " it is worth what someone is willing to pay " is spot on.

Walk the talk? I actually got it off a gentleman on here who like you was asking for that kind of money and was advised by other members he would need to go to auction to achieve the desired price. The post was some time I ago and messaged him asking if he would sell it for the advised price of £170 if he still had it and he did which I duly paid.

Seen as you are posting on here you are fluent with the internet I assume so google Yamazaki 12 year old and you will see how wide of the mark you are. Good luck if you manage to sell them for that money I will be impressed!

Yamazaki 18 is going for GBP 230-250 at auction and you add the charges and postage. You can also find the last few at some airports going for EUR 230-240. I offered to buy your bottle at gbp 170 very simple and i am still waiting. I dont just comment ,, i buy . Live and let live

selling privately and auctions are two different things

the person selling it will have to pay fees as well so will not get as much as the selling price

I will be going through duty free soon and will see what they are selling for it will be interesting
