Can't decide what one to choose to accompany my Glenfarclas Family cask on Christmas Day. Two very different whisky but two I have always wanted to try.
What would you gentleman / ladies go for?
Cheers all |

| Why not try something a bit less conventional (OK, Benromach is not a "classic"? malt but 10yo and 15yo are quite popular this year). Maybe you can go in the direction of some fruit bombs as Glen Keith, Linkwood or Balmenach. |

Sorren do you know if the Linkwood 15 GM is UCF N/C? I was looking at the Blair Athol 12 F and F too... Looks like a nice Christmas Dram |

| Easy decision, go for the Benromach - it's an outstanding whisky. The Bowmore 15 is ok but no more than that in my book. |

I presume the "ladies" bit was aimed at sorren
Not had the 100 proof but Benromach 10 is not only in a different league to the Bowmore 15 but it's also playing a different game.
Benromach 10 for me, not even a contest.
NB: Usual blah blah about taste and personal preference, but the Benromach is more demanding and made for the enthusiast, this is reflected in it's "experience profile". The Bowmore is made for people who walk into Asda and pick a whisky off the shelf. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |
