I have loads of expensive bottles to sell in the near future including a 50yr Macallan, however I am going to test things with this baby...

I have a 1950 Macallan in perfect unopened state. (no box). I saw it on one of the online whisky sites for £4000. Taking into account the rule of thumb it should be worth £2k to me, HOWEVER!

Any reasonable offers to complete before dec 25th I may come down rather a lot Smile

I will do the photo thing if there is genuine interest

I'm afraid your photos do not work or is it me

as you don't have the box its not worth as much as if you had the box
plus the shop you are on about have to charge vat
and if you work in there profit margin you will closer to what you might get
I would sell this at an auction site

best of luck richard

Thanks richard, the vat & profit is why I am saying 2k ono which is what i would get from a shop. I am looking into putting it up for auction but do need a quick sale...

I see the label has seen better days most collectors want pristine labels

I personally don't agree with wharfdale buts that's up to you

lets us now how you get on as we all learn if we were correct or sometimes totally wrong
