|
|
Whilst I've seen 1930s, 1940s and 1950s vintage Single Malt Whiskies, the oldest Single Grain vintage that I've come across personally is "Carsebridge 1960".
Has anyone ever seen a 1950s vintage Grain? |

Oldest I've had is a Cambus 1964/50yo from the Sovereign line. Stellar stuff, easily one of my top 10 of all time. As with sorren, I'd live to try something from the 50s but not seen anything about. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| There are a few Cameronbridge grain whiskies from the 1950's. I know of a Signatory 1950 and a Cadenhead 1954. Can't think of anything from the other distilleries - lots from the 60's though! |

These 1950s vintages must be pretty well hidden. I've not seen any at auction or in any shop.
1960s vintages are out there, but are perhaps becoming less common. And much pricier than in the good old days. |
