Its a Speyside Malt but I dont have any other details.
It is number 189 of 300.
Does anyne have any idea's as to the value?
Its unopened and the box is in good condition

Can you post a picture of the front and back of the bottle, and the tube/box if it came in one? _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

This one?

If so, also seems like a reasonable price for an undisclosed (no named) distillery, at 30 years old.
If you were to sell online via auction you have fees to pay, often up to 20% of the sale price, plus your postage and insurance. So if you managed to say for, say £90, you're looking at about £65 back from the sale.
.......hardly worth it. If you like whisky, drink up. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

Yeah, thats the one.
Thanks for that.
Is this type of whisky likely to increase in value?

Not really.
Collectors and investors go for big names mainly from official distillery bottlings. Independent bottlings from named distilleries may appreciate in value if the distillery is closed (Port Ellen for example) but most are smalls runs or single casks from Indies and don't get the following.
At the bottom of the appreciation scale is independent bottlings from unknown/unstated distilleries, such as the bottle you have. No-one knows where it's come from (distillery) or who bottled it. It may hold some value for someone specifically seeking a Police Commemorative whisky, but that's a very small niche.
The small number of bottles doesn't mean its collectable, it means its come from either 1 or 2 casks and that's all they had. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |
