| This is still showing on the Distillery website but someone I know in the trade has told me it has been discontinued and that there won't be a replacement until 2018. Anyone confirm this? Certainly on several retail lists where still available it is now being priced at £80 rather than the usual £50. |

| It will soon disappear from shelves, old stocks running out, they have to wait for their stocks to reach 15yo.. |

Yes, discontinued...
They have massive stocks so that's why there is still a fair bit about, but they went out of production so the 15yo stock won't be 15yo until 2018. They're running from older stock.
If you want one from old stock, buy up. The 15yo I have open is at least 20yrs old. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| I know the distillery was mothballed from 1996-02 and that they were bought in 2009 when the new range was launched. What are their post-2002 whiskies like? I have a cask strength batch 4 in the cupboard which I assume dates to after then but not opened it yet. |

| Does this mean it'll return when there are post-2002 batches of 15 year-old whisky, or disappear altogether? |

Yes it will return; but probably will be quite different (younger) than these batches of older casks. |

Good point. I've got a bottle on the go and an unopened one, it's tempting to save it for a head-to-head with the new batches whenever they come out. (though I'm sure it'll be more tempting to open it before that!) |

For future head-to-head or comprehensive vertical tasting I'm putting aside 100ml samples of every new open bottle. With this kind of "liquid library"? I have no problems to open even the rarest bottles in my stash. |
