What's the chances of it being a NAS whisky.
I don't know about Jims whisky of the year my vote goes to Ardbeg Perpetuum |

I will be unimpressed if it goes to another US or Japanese whisky if it does Jim can keep next years edition as I wont be buying it..
As we seem to be at the end of the supply chain here in Canada I would guess this years winner hasn't yet reached our shores yet. |

| I may be like you Samson, I consider Jims naming of US or Japanese whiskies as the best as nothing more than a headline grabbing marketing gimmick to sell books. Having said that I do rate his book highly as he actually rates whiskies which no other book or whisky writer does. I should also mention that William who gives us this platform to express our own personal views also rates whiskies and his ratings I would very much agree with. |

Scotch single grain, probably an old Cambus.
I'd vote for the 50yo Sovereign I had earlier in the year _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| I haven't had the pleasure of all the whiskies Jim Murray gets to taste but one which impressed me is Glengoyne 25 year old |

Glengoyne 25 is surely one of the best malts out there.
.. but JM will put on the top this year whiskEy or grain. He is simply a businessman and entertainer. |
