Ive only been drinking single malts for bout two n half years now but i do.like to save the different corks, Why ? Dont really know but today decided to put then into a different box as the aberlour box i was using is full, on emptying out came three minitures i didnt know was there so a nice little surprise, the three was talisker10 glengoyne 10 and a buffalo trace so have them at weekend while watching chelsea v liverpool,, im loving my road along the whisky trail hahaha

I can understand your keeping your corks/tops of scotch bottles especially with the interesting foil and assorted embossing on some of the cork tops often with the insignia of the distillery. It's also a bit of a personal historical record of the bottles you've been through and the regions they represent. Finding the 3 miniature bottles was a bonus.

I've never collected corks but if storing them in a whidky box magically turns them into miniatures then I'm starting straight away ..

Hahahaha like magic slip some corks into box and boom miniatures apear , I remember buying the bottles march time but can't remember planting them hahaha but hey I'm glad I did.

Keeping corks can also be practical - one of my bottles of Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix had a very loose fitting cork, so it was a good thing I had a spare to replace it with.
