I don't really like Famous Grouse, but I've tried both and to my tastes the Naked Grouse was far superior (I mean, more to my preference). I was actually quite surprised by it, much better than I was expecting. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| Opelfruit, can you explain your tastes for me if you can? I've heard some people say the black is similer to jw black?? Don't know how true that is. |

I like peat more than sherried whiskies (generally) but I found the sherried components work better in the grouses than the smokey elements do, so as a whisky on the whole I find the Naked grouse better put togetherand delivers more closely to he flavour profile I expected when drinking it. If that makes sense.
As I say, I don't really like grouse and I found the black more of a smokey version of the same thing, whereas I found the Naked grouse different and to me tasted like a 'better' product.
Personal preference and all that. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| I can't say that it tastes like JW black. And for me too - the Naked Grouse is far better that I ever expected it to be. |

| For me both are good in their own way and for the price you pay for them. |

| Yes I got a bottle last night from Morrisons, will be interesting to see how the addition of the Glenturret has changed it (if at all!) |

According to the blurb, yes, although I haven't tried it yet. They say that they've included a rate Glenturret to increase the smokiness... |
