I thought it would be interesting to see what people first purchased as they started their journeys in the world of single malts! Personally I bought a bottle of Jura Origins! |

Sorry, but not many can remember this. I bought my first one during my student years and I can't remember whole years: |

Balvenie Doublewood.
Had the usual (Glenlivet 12, Glenfiddich 12 etc) before but the real turning point was this.
You're first single malt was a Jura and you still carried on? _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| Blimey, I believe it was a Glenmorangie 10 ... I can vaguely remember buying a bottle of Bruichladdich Laddie Classic at the same sort of time. Oh how times change! |

Glenmorangie 10 as 'bottle to have in the house'.
When I was actively buying whisky for me it was Tweedale Blend 1st release, quickly followed by Talisker 10 on a journey through Scotland some years ago in the old camper van. |

Haha yes! I did have a dram of Caol Ila before and I couldn't believe the smoky flavours but enjoyed it. |

| It's was Xmas three years ago and it was £24 in sainsburys, aberlour 12 which I thought was a little disappointing but bottles later I thought how. Did I not enjoy it as I love it now, all down to training your palate. |

| After tasting Bowmore 12 year old for the first time more than a few years ago I just had to have a bottle as I had never tasted anything like it, so the Bowmore 12 was my first single malt buy. |

| I think the first bottle I owned was a partially (not much) drunk Cragganmore 12 that someone gave to me for my birthday as it wasn't to his tastes...the first bottle I bought was probably a Jura Superstition (yes, I know) or Talisker 10... |

If we're talking full bottles I still haven't bought one!
My first whisky buy was Glenfiddich 12 35cl. |

If my memory serves me well, it was an older version of Glenmorangie 10. A long time ago.
