1993 Ledaig - Gordon & McPhail - Conniosseurs Choice
Bottled in 2012, so 19 years old, 46% alcohol. Matured in a refill sherry butt which appeals to me. Nice mid amber colour from the sherry. The coastal saline nose with a backbone of peat smoke brings a smile to my face. Sipped neat, the bold peaty body thrusts itself onto my tastebuds and gives me a hug. More iodine, fudge, dried nuts and a long length. Enjoyable, distinct and yet another bottling of Ledaig that gets the thumbs up from me.
