Got a wee present from a friend today and title says I tried this blend and was surprised how much I enjoyed it, I could be miles away from others but smelt and tasted very similar to glenfidich 12, anybody else tried this blend??? It's called the nightcap

Here's the thing sorren, I got a chivaz 12 today and after drinking a couple of glasses the old St. Andrews 15 is far better in my view, mind you there a £10 difference in price

The description is .. It is a well aged blend of malts so I am guessing there is no grain and is " blended " like monkey shoulder..

There is a Old St Andrews 10. 12 and 15 year old, all blended malts and all quite drinkable. Very much aimed at the golf/tourist/gift market. I have tried all 3, I received them as a gift from someone who knew my passion for whisky and golf. I would never have considered buying them myself as I did look at them as a gift marketing gimmick and never thought the whisky in the golf ball shaped bottle would be any good but it pleasantly surprised me.
