Ian Macleod Distillers is launching a new Travel Retail Exclusive Shieldaig Speyside NAS Single Malt bottling next month at the Cannes Tax Free World Association.
Those of you who shop at Makro may know that there is already a No Age Statement un-named distillery expression of Shieldaig Speyside Single Malt currently available here in the UK priced at at £17.87 but I am unsure if this is the same whisky which will be launched in travel retail as the info Ian Macloeod has sent me says it is a travel retail exclusive.
I had noticed the shelves at the airport are being overtaken by no age statement travel retail exclusive whiskies these days, it isn't as good a selection at the airport now as it was just a few years ago.
It will be interesting to see the price on the Shieldaig Speyside if Makro sell an NAS expression of it so cheap.
