Hi there

I have a bottle of Yamazaki 18 year old that I'm willing to let go of. General scarcity does seem to be driving prices to pretty high levels (a few of the online guys are now looking for £300!) but ideally I'd be looking for £220 plus postage.

I'm based in Scotland but I do travel quite a bit so handover can be arranged (Glasgow/Edinburgh/London easily achievable).

Thanks for looking. Let me know if you need any other info.

All the best
Stephen

Way off. Private sale you'd be looking at around £150-£170.

Forget what the online prices say, or auctions.

Thanks for your comment. Seems surprising from everything I've read and from what I think was paid for the bottle but anyway, I'm certainly open to offers. Unfortunately the funds are required slightly more than the whisky at the moment! Sad

Cheers

Of course something is worth what someone is prepared to pay. Onliners will charge double the value on a private sale market and I'd value it at what I said, but saying that someone may be happy paying a lot more.

I hope you get what you need for it.

Not sure it helps but I sold one for £160 last week very easily. You could get more, but £220 seems to be pushing it even in the current market. If you NEED to recoup that amount may I suggest placing in auction with reserve? You never know someone might bite.

Cheers

Don't forget with auctions you have fees, easily amounting to 20% of your sale, which even at £220 would leave you with £176. You'd have to then add on your postage and insurance....and guess what? You're at £160 again

Thanks for all the comments, which are definitely pointing to pragmatism over idealism! On that basis if an asking price of £170 seems more realistic and generates interest then please feel free to PM me.

Cheers
