Hello,
I apologise that my first post on here is to ask for a valuation but on looking this seemed to be the place to ask!
I bought this bottle 18 years ago as a gift but it has recently come back to my possession and I am considering selling it as I'm not a collector.
Would anyone be able to tell me what I should be asking for it? I can email photos if that would help (can't see how to post them here). It is still boxed with it's original tag on the neck of the bottle.
I would be grateful for any help with this and look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks. |

Duncan, welcome to the Forum. I noticed that a bottle of this 25 Year Old went up for auction at SWA with a winning bid of 165 British pounds, bottle1455. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| Thanks for the reply, I'll take a look at the auction sites too. |

Please bear in mind that auction sites charge fees/commission, for example scotchwhiskyauctions.com charge 10% commission (which is also subject to VAT), so 12%.
If you get £200 for it you'll loose £24 in fees and you'll also have to pay for delivery to them.
It may be more lucrative to sell it to a dealer for cash, face to face, if you can do so. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |
