They have nothing in common; you can't even say that you are comparing apples and oranges (maybe pork and vegetable?). Smile
Ask yourself what do you prefer: blend/single malt, full body/light, are you looking something after dinner or for afternoon drink :

Now if you were comparing that single malt to JW Double Black, I would go for the latter but that goes for around 31 British pounds I believe.

Actually, I was comparing blend to blend, that is Johnnie Walker Black to Johnnie Walker Double Black. For my money, the Johnnie Walker Double Black is outstanding and worth a few more quid.
Very Happy

It's not a straight forward answer... Personally I'd buy Auchentoshan, but that's because I like it, it's a very light delicate and floral whisky, the entry level bottle, it is also getting replaced so you could get it for that reason, the johnnie walker will be a lot bolder, more easy to find the flavours, so if your not one for the delicate flavours where you have to appreciate the flavours you find then defiantly get the jw...

What sorren means is that JW Black has flavour and Auchentoshen doesn't Laughing
