Here's the blurb that came out today-:
"Spirit of Toronto is Canada's annual showcase of the finest whiskies and premium spirits from around the world! Since 2004 this spectacular gala has become a "must' on the food & drink calendar: a selection of 100 plus whiskies and premium spirits, intimate tutored tastings, live jazz, a gourmet table d'hôte, food and drink pairings, dedicated cocktail bars, and the opportunity to taste and learn with brand ambassadors, distillery representatives and industry professionals."
Saturday May 7th, 2016 at Roy Thomson Hall, Toronto, Ontario
6:30 pm--10 pm.

| Is there a big demand for whisky events tickets your side of the water? They are getting difficult to get hold of tickets for events here. I haven't had much luck so far this year as I have missed out on tickets for the Whisky an a that festival in Ayr and I was too late to get tickets for the Edinburgh Whisky Fringe in August which sold out in minutes again. |

Hi Fergie. Large whisky events are becoming more popular here in Ontario and occur mostly in Toronto. Many of them are single evening events hosted by distilleries and Vintages (a branch of the LCBO) and can be spectacular. Tickets usually can be had if booked weeks before the event. Another smaller level of tastings are offered through the year at certain LCBO outlets across Ontario (Ontario government controlled) stores that have tasting rooms where 30 or 40 folks can spend several hours tasting whiskies presented by a whisky ambassador of one type or another. Tickets are usually between $60-100 dollars Canadian for these smaller tastings. These sessions are usually themed such as an Islay Experience, etc. I have been to a few of these and they have been excellent.

Fergie if you are interested in attending the Glasgow Whisky Festival 2015 in November then you haven't yet missed out on tickets, the festival website states that tickets wont go on sale until at least July. I will update this page http://www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5071 when tickets are available.
