Spey Tenne 8 years in bourbon/oak and finished in tawny Port pipes for 6 months, 46%abv

Neat-

Nose: A flash of purple grapes, totally voluptuous and full-bodied, Turkish delight, ultra fruity stewed pears, honey dew melon, sugar cane and chocolate covered jellies.

Taste: Baked apples and warming. Apricot jelly metamorphosing to spiced apples.

Finish: Long, toasted marshmallows, fruit syrup and mild spice (especially) cinnamon.

***This is a wonderful dram at a decent price point and a pleasure to drink. A nice find.
***The Spey Tenne finished in tawny Port Casks is really outstanding. Tonight was the first time this expression was tasted in Canada. Very few bottles made its way to Ontario. Jim Murray rates it at 90 and I have to agree.
