|
|
Want to know whether the age, ABV, type of cask used to mature whisky make any significant difference to the nutrition of the whisky then your in luck Diageo have committed to provide nutrition info for every one of their whiskies.
As you can see from the Lagavulin 16 year old and Talisker 10 year old examples I have selected below. not every whisky is the same when it come to nutrition but they do not vary a great deal when around the common ABV bottling strength of 40% to 46%. It was interesting to see whether age, ABV, type of cask used to mature the whisky made any significant difference to the nutrition of the whisky and it does appear that the higher the ABV the higher kcal, for example the Talisker 25 Year Old bottled at 58.8% has 82kcal per 25ml serving.
For more info and how to get all the nutrition details on your favourite Diageo whisky see here:

| Interesting that the high strength whisky has around 33% calories than the standard bottling strength whiskies, I suppose you also say then that it 33% more flavour. |

Diageos Bells, J & B, White Horse and Vat 69 blends are all 56 kcal but the Canadian blend Crown Royal is the one if your counting the calories it is 55 kcal. Cameron Brig 40% ABV grain whisky is is 56 kcal _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

A whisky diet works for me
I think whisky is one of the lowest calorie spirits you can drink. |

| I guess you could say there is a connection between abv, calories and flavour. |
