Looking at offloading some of my collection and wondered where people would recommend to sell them would you go to one of the online retailers or speak with an auction compamy and chance it?
Sad to let them go but just had a baby and space is now a premium in the house and the wife has spoken.

| It's a sad day when you have to let the collection go, not sure this is right place to list but I'm sure William or john will correct if wrong, good luck with the sale, |

You'd get more for selling the kid and more enjoyment out of the whisky....trust me on the latter
Keep the whisky, get rid of the other 2.......is that an option? _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

Don you need the money? If not, drink it. Be a shame to see some of those go. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

I would say you would be better selling at one of the established online whisky auctions such as www.scotchwhiskyauctions.com they will have a bigger amount of regular users so should attract the best possible price. One thing i would say, be warey of flooding the auction with so many bottles of Macallan in one go as you may spread the bids from Macallan fans across your collection rather than have bidders competing for each bottle.
Hope you get a good price and dont forget to bookmark this page to show your kids in years to come what exactly you gave up for them and what they owe you. |

| Call around a couple and see what they can do for you if you have several bottles to put into auction. SWA can achieve good prices but they can take a month to pay out and all those charges stack up. Very competitive amongst all the online whisky sites so phone about and see which is best for you. |
