Hi All.
Got given a bottle Rowans Creek for Christmas and these American whiskey have taken my breath away. After that I went out and brought a bottle of Blantons Gold what was even better.
Can anyone recommend any to try next? Iv got about £65 max to spend a month (my whiskey fund!) And want to get the best out there.
Cheers guys!

Hi Charlie. Welcome to the Forum. Have you tried any Canadian whiskies? There is a lot to choose from here in Canada and the USA if you are in North America. If you're interested I could suggest some specific ones for you. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

Masterofmalt have put some Bookers on sale today, very very good stuff.
Michters do a good bourbon for about £50 and if you ever see any then I can recommend Elmer T Lee, about £45, but it's hard to come by.
Not sure how much Rock Hill Farm goes for these days but may be in that budget and is again very good bourbon.
If you like Blantons Gold they you'll like other Rye forward bourbons. Four Roses single barrel is another of my favourites and carries a high Rye content.
What you're looking for is a bourbon that carries a decent amount of Rye, should be 45% abv or more and sit in the 6-8 year old range, anything like that should float your boat. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

Thanks for all the Help Chaps.
I really like the look of the Brookers but its a tad too steep in pricing at the moment.
Im on the Hunt for Elmer T Lee now! But the ones most likely ill be getting next are Four Roses Single Barrel Or Bernheim Original. |

Good luck finding a Lee and if you do let me know where you get it from. 4R's is a great choice.
It may also be worth considering straight rye's too, you can get samples from MasterOfMalt if you dont want a full bottle.
Sazerac Straight Rye
James E Pepper 1776 Straight Rye
Rittenhouse Straight Rye 100 proof
These are 3 good straight rye's and will let you explore the flavour profile of the rye grain well.
.......get a bigger piece of paper to make your list on _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

It usually goes for around £45, but it's hard to get hold of and it sells quite fast, personally £65 is a price I'd be willing to pay ......but that's me _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| I opened a bottle of Tincup the other night not expecting too much and was very pleased with a dram. Pretty cheap as well. |
