Ok so I'm more a scotch whisky snob but I just finished a bottle of rock hill farm single barrel and was thinking of getting another one but thought I'd get some opinions from you lot as to if there are any better ones for £50-£90 pound mark, I'm not a jd fan but did enjoy this so unless there is something outstanding then I'll get another.. Thoughts ?

Blanton's Gold Edition.

It uses the same mash bill as Rock Hill Farm (both Buffalo Trace brands and use BT mashbill #2 - higher rye).

Rock Hill is a very good bourbon but I prefer blantons gold personally. There's a thread about it on here by the way.

I did look at Elijah Craig, I've seen a few good reviews, also looked at some pappy but it's pretty hard to get hold of and looks like I'd have to at least double my budget ... Heard some good reviews about Sazarac straight rye 18, looked up the blantons gold and I might just plump for a bottle ( it's hard to agree with opelfruit ) Cool

It's not my fault, I don't play well with others Very Happy

Pappy is mostly wheated bourbon so it swaps wheat for Rye as the small grain. Not at all like a Rock Hill....and hard to get hold of too.

Saz 18 is again impossible to find (unless you live in my house Wink ) they pretty much sell out the minute they are released and well over £100 a bottle.

The EC18 is good, you just have to watch bourbon that carried too much age. I've got an Eagle Rare 18 open at the moment and it's lovely but there is far too much wood on it.

Amazon are doing Blantons Gold at £54 a bottle with free delivery at the moment, which is a stellar price.
