|
|
Evening guys!
My sealed bottle of glenfiddich has developed a discoloured label (the small one along the top of the bottle, just below the seal. I want to try and steam off the label and swap for a clean one..
Does anyone have a spare empty bottle they would be good enough to post me? Obviously would pay postage etc! They would have my eternal gratitude!
Cheers! |

The only reason I can see for having concern about a discoloured small label on an unopened bottle of limited run whisky would be because you have it purely for investment purposes and it'd effect the resale value.
To which end, my label would be worth a lot to you so I would be looking to sell it for an not inconsiderable sum, certainly 3 figures after all it could be the difference in hundreds of pounds in the long term for the resale value of your investment. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| I have just got a display cabinet for my whiskies and it doesn't look as nice with a brown label. Saving it for a special day. They come up on eBay now and again, just thought someone might have a spare on here. |

| Do people think snow pheonix will be worth a lot in the future? I thought there are too many about for it to ever get really valuable? Always loads sell at auctions so there is demand, but also supply |

it's okay, all my empties go the same place as the boxes do; the recycling bin. So I don't have any empty bottles anyway. I was just being anti investment
......and yes, long term potential for good returns. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| I'm not so sure about how well it will keep doing, I see prices coming down for it, there are so many bottles about, although it is a very nice whisky, I'm almost through my second bottle, 😢 |

Any chance of a wee empty bottle when you have finished it? |

I would just leave the label as is.
If you start tampering someone may become suspicious of your bottle. |
